Within a short car ride from Cairnhill Lodge you will be able to access a wide-range of lovely restaurants and cafes that we have found offer great hospitality

Some great examples to whet your appetite include:
 
Glenisla Hotel & Restaurant – Kirkton of Glenisla – PH11 8PH (1 mile away)
Located less than a miles walk / drive from the lodge the hotel serves delicious A La Carte and traditional dishes for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. There is a small bar in the hotel if you fancy a liquid refreshment after a day’s exploration or an evening stroll.
It is wise to book for dinner – especially in high season.

Lands of Loyal Hotel – Alyth, Blairgowrie – PH11 8JQ (10.5 miles away)
Located at the bottom of Glenisla, and originally conceived as a shooting lodge, the Lands of Loyal is a boutique hotel that has retained much of its traditional character. The dinner menu offers great choice, and our neighbours tell us that the food is excellent.

Located at the bottom of Glenisla, the Strathmore Restaurant serves excellent, high-quality, great value family favourites: from pasta to fillet steak. Great valued themed nights through the week.

Peel Farm – Cafe and Gift Shop – Lintrathen, Kirriemuir – DD8 5JJ (6.5 miles away)
Located midway down Glenisla, Peel Farm is a lovely stopping off point for a coffee, cake or a spot of lunch. Why not combine it with a short walk to the spectacular Reekie Linn waterfall – just 0.5 miles south of the farm (on the road towards Alyth).

A family run cafe serving delicious coffee, home baking, light lunches, or weekend brunch, it is open from 10am – 4pm, Thursday to Monday.

Wee House of Glenshee – Spittal of Glenshee – PH10 7LP (7.9 miles away)
This “wee” cafe is located to the north of the lodge in Glenshee (neighbouring glen to the west). It offers a smallish choice of menu – but the cakes and soup are always excellent. The Wee House also has a lovely gift shop of higher quality, non-tacky souvenirs.
Note that the cafe only has a Facebook page, and it has very condensed opening times in the winter months … so please call ahead.

Pitcrocknie Restaurant & Coffee House – Alyth, Blairgowire – PH11 8JJ (9.7 miles away)
Located at the bottom of Glenisla, the Pitcrocknie is a family-friendly restaurant and cafe serving excellent, high-quality, great value family favourites. It has a fantastic panoramic view over the Alyth golf course. Open 7 days a week, but only Friday and Saturday in the evenings.

Little’s Restaurant – Blairgowrie – PH10 7GA (15.7 miles away)
This delightful restaurant is housed in a large church sitting on the banks of the River Ericht. Its main focus is fish – which is provided by the chef’s own fishmonger in Crieff. However, if fish is not your thing, it also serves meat, game and vegetarian options. This is a restaurant for a special occasion – and well worth a visit.

Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery – Aberfeldy – PH15 2EB (35.9 miles away)
One of our favourite cafes … and not just because it has got a fantastic distillery attached. Superb light lunches, cakes and tea and coffee. A small shop also sells Dewars whisky and souvenirs. Definitely one to try if you are travelling over towards the lovely town of Aberfeldy.
